Ready for something Fun and “Out of this world”?

When science can go to far in discovering ideas.  ‘Earth Cat Zero Last Cat Meowing’ by Gary Starta is a science fiction novel (or is it).It sort of introduces the subject of physics in the way of vocabulary and the creation of the ‘cat’ Earth Cat Zero.   The  main characters are Caron Ellis and Miranda and their pet cat by the name of Joule.  Other characters are Normand, Dr. Brands and a few other supporting characters that fit well into the story of science and spies.

Physics is a subject that is also a major character in “Earth Cat Zero Last Cat Meowing”.  The terminology that is used throughout the story that describes all about how Earth Cat Zero was created. Like the terms ‘particle collider’, ‘acceleration’, ‘genetic alteration’ and a few other choice words.  ‘Earth Cat Zero Last Cat Meowing’ is in a way a science fiction/mystery/political intrigue story wrapped up together.

Gary Starta has written this novel in a great show and tell presentation,  bringing together many facets of language and relationships.  This is a great story of making friends whether human and/or animal.  Gary Starta wrote a book in my opinion that is in a way to introduce the advanced science of physics and how this subject effects us all in many ways and means.

It[s a fun read even for a Dog person like myself.

When teenager Miranda Ellis finds herself responsible for displacing the domestic cat population, sacrifice, love and hope may be her biggest armament against forces which seek to use the science mishap as a weapon. Heartbroken over losing her cat Joule along with billions of other pet owners – Miranda learns the quantum recipe has been changed to displace all cats. Yet in their place, a green and blue cat appears out of quantum thin air via a particle collider acceleration. As Earth Cat Zero proves the existence of quantum entanglement-living in both particle and wave form simultaneously-unnamed forces work to use the accident to selfish human advantages. About Gary Starta

Gary Starta is a former journalist who studied English and Journalism at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

His love for science fiction compelled him to write his first novel What Are You Made Of? published in 2006. Inspired by Isaac Asimov, the science fiction novel focuses on intelligent artificial life and whether sentient androids should possess the same rights as humans. The androids in Starta’s novel are created as hybrids – part machine, part human – further blurring the line between human and machine. Starta foresees a near future where humans will be forced to decide if intelligent machinery is indeed a life form. Possibly, in this near future, some humans will possess computer enhancements to overcome disabilities becoming hybrids themselves. The line between biological life form and mechanical life form continues to be examined in 2010’s Gods of the Machines.
